the Milky Way at 10 million light years from the Earth. Then move
through space towards the Earth in successive orders of magnitude until
you reach a tall oak tree just outside the buildings of the National
High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, Florida. After that,
begin to move from the actual size of a leaf into a microscopic world
that reveals leaf cell walls, the cell nucleus, chromatin, DNA and
finally, into the subatomic universe of electrons and protons.

Astrobiology seeks to understand the origin of the building blocks of
life, how these biogenic compounds combine to create life, how life
affects - and is affected by the environment from which it arose, and
finally, whether and how life expands beyond its planet of origin. None
of these questions is by any means new - but for the first time since
they were posed, these questions may now be answerable. Astrobiology
seeks to provide a philosophical and programmatic underpinning whereby
life's place in the universe can be explored - at levels of
inter-related complexity ranging from molecular to galactic.
As Astrobiology becomes more organized, this website will be constantly
updated so as to make it as easy as possible for all Astrobiologists -
new and old - to find out about what everyone is doing. You can be an
astrobiologist simply by deciding that you are one.

| TELEKINESIS or Psychokinesis (PK) refers
to moving objects from one place to another without using physical
contact. It also means re-shaping of objects using the mind's energies,
such as bending a spoon, or key, by just holding it and focusing.
PSYCHOKINESIS comes from the Greek words psyche meaning
life or soul and kineisis meaning to move.
