  Children of the Earth, Inc. with fifteen additional non-profit organizations are bringing Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Congressman Bernard Sanders (I-VT) to Ira Allen Chapel at the University of Vermont on September 28, 2002 for a Peace Summit. They are sponsors of the U.S. Congressional Bill (H.R. 2459) proposing the creation of a Department of Peace as a cabinet level United States agency and a National Peace Academy.
  This group believes that Vermont possesses the creative energy and freedom of thought, combined with the political voice and enduring commitment required to realize such a vision of peace and to create its own Peace Academy.
